On average, I write anywhere from 3.5K to 4K words a day.
This could be for my blog, my journal, content for someone
else, etc...

There are some days when I'm done with other work and I
know I need to crank out another 2K words, which normally
wouldn't be a big deal,
but I just don't have the mental energy
for it.

So far, I've found that green tea, a few push ups, or a short
walk work for me and boost my energy so that I may finish
my work.

What's your energy booster? What works for you? Is it odd?
Quirky? The norm? Tell us!

Definitely can not go wrong with green tea in the morning!

Emotion through motion to kick start the morning just walking around the apartment to get things flowing

Then I do some daily affirmations and post one or two on twitter

Then write in a gratuity journal

Then to really jump my energy for the day, I throw in a workout or a cup of coffee or even both!

Going for a run in the morning while it's still dark outside puts me in a good mood mentally and physically for the rest of the day.

A good 6-8 hrs of sleep

A cold shower, some grooming stuff right after waking up.

A six minute exercise of pushups, situps, squats, and running in place

A quick an easy to do list to give constructive thought towards the day

And a silva meditation guide:
AND YOU"RE ALL SET

Yes getting to bed at the right time is important. I find if I go to bed at 2am even if I get 8 hours of sleep I still feel tired. I make sure I hit the sack at 10:30pm that way I am up at 6:30am. I take 1 hour each day to do personal development such as learn a new skill, read a few chapters from a self-help book.

I make sure I eat whole foods by emulsifying it in my Nutribullet. That way my body does not expend energy digesting the food. My drink in the morning is:

blueberries, banana, kale, celery, slice of ginger, chia seed, and water.

I also have a bowl of oatmeal.

It keeps my mind sharp and gives me the energy I need to start the day.
