I eat a plant-based diet and I have read time and time again that vegans/vegetarains connect best with other plant-based eaters. My partners is not plant-based or health conscious. Although we do have a great relationship and respect each other's food choices, I do wish we could bond over my food choices.

What are your thoughts on this? Is there anyone who had to terminate a relationship due to their food choices?

I would look at this as an opportunity for self growth. To grow in unconditional love, as well as learn to be happy without excessive attachment to things being a certain way. When we can't change the things around us (which is often the case), then we can change our inner self so that it doesn't irritate us, and look at it as an opportunity to practice that non attachment perspective.
