A lot of people are doing that too, it is not only you who prays when they are at their lowest point of their life. You know, praying while you are in your saddest moment of your life helps us release our stress, anxiety and tension. It gives us the way to connect to God and expresses our feelings to Him. It is also good that you pray, it is a good indication that you still believe in Him and even you don't go to church and reading bible, the faith is still reigning in your heart. So don't worry too much about that. Cheer up and live life to the fullest.
I pray because I want to talk to God and thank him for every good thing He has given me. My life, my family, my good health, and everything. I also think it's food for the soul. So I make it a daily habit to pray. For my soul to stay healthy.
Thanks! My siblings and I are raised by our parents that way. We are taught to always thank God in every blessings we receive. And I hope all children of God would do so.
I pray for my family's health, financial blessing, and guidance. I always start my day with a prayer. A man without a prayer is like a boat without an anchor. Prayers help to relieve stress that I encounter everyday.
I agree with you, Prayers is very effective if you want to relieve your stress. Sometimes if I'm really stressed out I tend to pray and talk to myself and God, thanking the day that hopefully everythings will turn out okay.
I pray to ask forgiveness, thanks for all the blessings, seek for guidance and for all other things in my life. I also pray to talk to God about any topics and discussions.
Without putting religious intonation to prayer, I would say that prayer is a form of meditation where we are trying to connect with the great power of the universe. It is good thing to note that all religious groups value prayer and there are different ways to pray either on a group or individual levels.
I think that your religion has nothing to do with the way you pray or for how long you do it or how often. Praying has always been the way to communicate with God and that should be exactly what we do. Talk to God. Not only ask for things or to thank Him for everything He's done but also to just converse with Him as we do with our friends or family members.
I pray because I want to thank God for everything he has given me and to my family, to thank Him for food and job, security and friends. I pray because I want to say sorry for all the wrongdoings I did, and lastly, I pray that He continues to guide us and the whole world, and that He may let 'peace reign' over the world
I pray during problems or stress but I also pray at odd times during the day. I find myself using prayer as a meditative device for stress release. I also find myself praying as a way of counseling. Not really asking God to tell me what to do but just sort of unloading the days problems, issues, and concerns and getting them out there. I find that it helps me keep a level head about things and keeps me from bottling up my feelings and emotions.
I pray as soon as I wake up and basically any time of day that I need someone to talk to. Life gets tough quite often, and as soon as I start feeling anxiety over any situation, I start praying. Sometimes I'm not sure what to pray for, so I just will pray for guidance. I love that I can pray anytime I want, day or night.
Praying is like communicating with the highest Being. I am sure you ever talked to yourself silently during time of hardship/troubles. That is the time you are trying to pull other power to yourself giving you more energy to face your problems. For the christians and other spiritual humans, praying is the best way to communicate with other spiritual being/beings that could help them settling their problem. Praying help to calm as well. For me, I would let God to handle my problem. He knows the best solution even though it maybe not the one I like. I think you are lying if you tell me that you don't pray in some way or another.
I pray because it gives me peace of mind during times of stress. It calms me and makes me feel more connected to something bigger.
I pray because I believe in God. I pray to thank Him, i pray to ask, I pray to worship Him, I pray because I am born for it.
