A lot of people know that the 25th of Dec. is not when Jesus was born and that the real date is not know. So to those people I want to ask why you still celebrate it even though you know it's the wrong date? Also the Bible says we should commemorate Jesus death and not his birth. Yeah there is a date for Jesus death but a lot of people don't even know when that is and it is in no way celebrated like Dec. 25th. Even if Jesus was born that day, most people don't even remember him like they should. They are more worried about the presents, even kids get greedy.

It is because humans are attached more to traditions conceptualized by other men especially those in the past rather than scrutinize the truth of Jesus' life in the Bible. And most religious organisations are so embroiled in traditions that they are so willing to stick to their own beliefs and even try to explain things away. We are so willing to close our eyes to the truth because in doing so we can remain in our won comfort zones. December 25 will never be the birth date of Jesus and even Catholic religious leaders are aware of this. Sadly, it is so hard to get away from Christmas if your family is celebrating it. :D

Even some or a lot had been aware that it was a wrong date because of some others further studies, proofs/facts and researches, it still celebrated on that date cause it was already tradition. Important is the birthday of Jesus Christ is celebrated than not because no one knows his exact birthday. The celebration spirit will matter more specially for those who believes. ;)

I celebrate christmas as the pagan holiday it once started out as; the return of light.
To me it's a spiritual holiday that reminds us to take time for our loved ones and share with the people in need.
It's a time to reflect the year and think about the things you like and would like to change, in my opinion.

I don't celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday at all. For me, there's no spirituality connection at all even and it's all about spending time with family, etc. It's kind of annoying when people try making it about a religion but don't even understand the history and whatnot, but to each his or her own, I guess.

It is such a commercialised event, that it has lost whatever meaning it was originally supposed to have. I do not celebrate as I can't appreciate any of it.

I don't have any religion but I also celebrate Christmas. I regard it as a time to love. Show love and care to people around, do some charities and help the underprivileged. I usually send e-cards to all my friends at Christmas and buy gifts for relatives. I also gather friends and do some volunteer work at elderly homes. It's a good time to spread love around, but people seem to have make Christmas more materialistic nowadays.

I celebrate Christmas because I am a Christian and believe this celebrates the birth of my savior. I also celebrate Christmas because it is a fun time for children and I have two young kids. I enjoy the act of giving and good will at Christmas. It is about giving not receiving for me.

I celebrate Christmas because I believe it's the birth date of Jesus. Whatever those religions that does not celebrate Christmas, it's fine with me. This is my belief and I stand for what I believe in.

I really don't celebrate Christmas. I never get anything for anybody, and I do my best to avoid having to go see my family. Sometimes I will go and visit a couple of my friends, but in that case I'm really just using Christmas as an excuse to see them haha.

We celebrate Christmas in memory of the birth of Jesus, and it's just spending time with friends and family, Christmas has gotten really commercial and it is true of people look to christmas as what they are going to get while others go into debt trying to buy everybody something, and later struggling for months after christmas trying to get back on track. A lot of people dread christmas because it sometimes means spending money they don't have to spend, so instead of being a time of joy, its a time of worry for a lot of people. People use christmas to get drunk or whatever, it's just not what it is suppose to be. Christmas shouldn't be about spending a lot of money and trying to out do others, it should be a time to remember the birth of Jesus and have quality time with who we are with, and be happy to see our family and friends. As for not knowing the date of Jesus birth, well this is true, and I don't know who came up with the date to celebrate on dec 25, but I think it's a good thing to do, but sometimes I just don't know anymore.

I must admit that part of the reason I celebrate Christmas is due to tradition. I was brought up celebrating the holiday. Now, I find that I do enjoy the holiday, but not the commercial part of it. But the feeling that comes with it, no one can't tell me that there isn't a sense of peace and well being that comes during that time of year. Maybe its not the true season of Christ actual birth but it is the time that was chosen to celebrate it, for whatever reason.

I celebrate Christmas since it has been the tradition my family have, and it is really nice to give something for christmas and also have the awesome feeling of receiving gifts too.

Ever since I was a kid I never remembered a Christmas that we haven't celebrated. It was later then when I leaned what Christmas is all about. It's all about love, happiness and thanksgiving. It's celebrating the birth of Jesus.
