In the delicate, soft summer breeze,
the sun shines warmly on my back,
    casts it's invitation,
    entices all to enjoy.

Crickets buzz happily in the distance,
as wind rustles through the leaves.
    The plush green beauty
    of rolling hills
    takes the breath away,

    With it's wonderfully decorated accents,
mosaic mixtures of brightly colored flowers litter countryside landscapes.
One is magically and mysteriously transformed.

Thoughts of winter, far from the mind,
    linger behind a masked veil
    and leaves a bitter after-taste.
The desire to freeze this frame,
    and relive this summer experience,
    day after day,
    becomes an obsession.

    As days become shorter,
    reality nears,
and leaves a heart felt sadness.
I wish time could stand still
    and freeze this frame.

My thoughts exactly, when in September, you want it to last all year. Nicely written.
