Do you recall that one fine morning when you woke up with an amazing amount of energy before you even got out of bed? I’m guessing that the energy was brought by an event that you had been looking forward to, or an inspiration that fired up your creativity and wanted to get some things done immediately because you don’t know if it will last all throughout the day. Having that vibrant outlook which heightens your determination to accomplish your goals is the greatest feeling, isn’t it? Unfortunately, we know that this does not happen all the time. I’m pretty positive that some days are just too overwhelming for some reason that you drag yourself out of the bedroom. When this happens, chances are, your entire day will be as heavy as you’ve started it – and you’ll feel that the clock is ticking tooooo slow….. At the end of the day, you look back and nothing was accomplished. While we know that self-discipline is an important factor to succeed in our objectives, it is also important that we strengthen it. How? By setting up a morning AND an evening ritual. Remember that happiness and success will never chase you, you create them. In your "morning ritual" remind yourself of what your goals are and why it's very important for you achieve them. Figure out the actions that you can take today to get a step closer to your goals. Do not forget to identify those inevitable challenges that you might encounter and strategically plan on how you can overcome them. In your "evening ritual" re-assess on how well you followed through on those action steps you planned for the day. You may want to ask yourself: “How much effort did I put in? Was I persistent enough?” Move yourself away from the results which may be out of your immediate control. If something didn't turn into your favor, figure out how you can overcome that next time. By practicing such daily routine, not only self-discipline is developed - passion goes with it. Eventually, you’ll find yourself feeling good every single day, and that success is just within your reach.
