I've never been a spiritual person at all. I'm not sure why, it's just never really been instilled in me. I've made many changes to my life over the past couple years and I've noticed that most people who are successful in life are spiritual. Is this a crucial part in finding success and fulfillment? What are your thoughts as I know opinions will differ.

hey bro my opinion is first you have to define what is success and fulfillment for you? is it something you want for yourself or is it something you want to give to others?
life has different stages. of course we all started as a little child and as a child we have limited understanding limited belief and knowledge that is the purpose of life to help us expand our knowledge belief and understanding, you have to look deeper my brother, if you still cant see anything look deeper, take a look at yourself your belief examine your mind, also define what is success to you? do you measure it with material abundance? material life and spiritual life are like parts of an iceberg material life is the visible part and the spiritual part is the huge part that you cannot see, spiritual life and material life are connected i understand that as human being we see ourserlves different from other human beings, that is where spiritual life enters spiritual life teaches us to see that we are one with everything, it teaches us that even we have different personalities we are all human being. to be successful have you read the parable of talent? it is in the bible. if you havent read it read it first the explanation there is human race is a group there are things that you cant do alone to become succesful you need the help of others, you need to multiply what you have by helping others, spiritual life will teach you about your purpose in life, and how you will find your true happiness and fulfillment comes when you follow your purpose and your dreams

    Hi Dustin,

I am not a specialist or anything but I thought I'd give my opinion - even though it's posted more than a year ago. I can agree with the comment above in the sense that spirituality gives you more of life, it provides deeper meaning. It makes part of giving more of yourself than what you think you're made of. It's part of living for something that's bigger than you, something greater. Being spiritual is different for everyone but it definitely provides a sense of connection and a sense of direction.

You become aware of so much more within you, and of the things around you. Like the previous gentleman mentioned, you connect to everything else around you and appreciate the beauty of everything so much more intelligently. All religions provide commonalities and I look for the truths they share because all the truths they share are the secrets or the laws that make life what it is. It gives us that something to stand for, rather than living for nothing.

It's not the not the most professional or super amazing answer but it's my opinion, short and simple. Hope it helps!

    Good luck!

Whether we practice Spirituality or not, we are all by default Spiritual. Personal development is a Spiritual thing. But people who don't practice Spirituality will not define it that way.

I have to agree. If you believe in the law of attraction you definitely believe that there is something bigger than us at play in the world. Many facets of personal development entail elements of spirituality. For example, the power that thoughts, words and belief have in shaping our existence. And the practice of visualizing with the intention of manifesting our desires. The principle of giving in order to receive; and the more you give the more you receive. They all invoke a belief is forces that are inexplicable.

For me spirituality is entirely different from religion, I'm not religious and never will be but I am spiritual. I also agree that spirituality is the recognition that everything is connected, not just us humans but all sentient beings. We are entirely dependent on the planet for our survival. If it dies so do we. To me, spirituality brings on an awareness of this connectedness; it's appreciating the beauty of nature such as a beautiful sunset. It's appreciating life and all its complexity, without judgement or expectation. It's being humble enough to know that we are merely tiny insignificant creatures in one of many universes that are in existence. It's being curious about what was behind the 'big bang', a force that was so powerful yet so miraculous in that all life traces it origins to this one event. Everything is connected, in more ways than we realise! And to me, recognising this is spirituality.
