The day that you were laid to rest
    I didn't cry at all
Too young to inderstand that you'd
    received you final call

I can still see Grandma crying
oh how she missed you so!
and a lifetime of love ran down her face
as the tears began to flow

Simple but beautiful. It shows how painful it is to witness your grandfather's death and to see everyone else around you crying, especially your grandmother.

I have never heard it phrased that way before.... a lifetime of love running down her face.... What a beautiful way of saying it. I know the feeling all too well. It's sad, but also heartwarming at the same time.

Very nicely done. It reminds me of the time my brother died when I was around four, and my grandmother was so overcome with grief. Take care.
